Our Baby Registry

Some people think that when parents have a second child and that child is the same sex that a baby shower and registry is not needed. But after going through all of Jordan’s stuff I realize that there are some things we do need -- a double stroller, crib w/ mattress and a bedding set. Jordan & his little brother will be sharing a room. If I give the new baby Jordan’s old bedding set, I realized that Jordan won’t have a bumper or quilt for his crib. After spending all weekend at Babies ‘R’ Us and Lullaby Lane looking for a double stroller and crib, Jay & I finally found one that we like.

The double stroller we’re registering for is a Combi, so that we can use our old car seat. The crib was a little tougher. We’re not registering for one of those “lifetime” cribs, since we’re going to put the boys in bunk beds when they’re older. I finally found a crib that I absolutely fell in love with at Lullaby Lane & it’s on sale. The only thing is I thought I registered for it. Then when I got home I noticed the crib wasn’t on the registry, so I’m going back this week to add it on. It’s a drop down crib, which means that one of the rails can go down so it is easier to pick the baby up. We didn’t have that with Jordan, which made it difficult to pick him up when he was not able to sit up yet. The other thing I love about this crib is that it can convert to a toddler bed.

I’m also registering for organic sheets & layette. Jordan has started getting these rashes in various places on his body within the last week. I don’t know if it is from the sheets, lotion, soap or detergent so now I’m trying to switch us to all natural products. I already clean the house with that new Clorox Green Clean brand or Method products. Our laundry detergent is the ALL clear. I started using the Johnson & Johnson’s Natural products.
